We Produce High-Performance Composite Materials

Prime Manufacturing Technologies produces highly specialized composite material to be used in the injection molding process. In fact, we currently produce a special material that is machined to build torpedoes and other marine applications. This material has both acoustic and physical specifications that must be met simultaneously.

Our Step-by-Step Process

  1. Selection of Materials
    We use reinforcement fibers, matrix resin fillers, lubricants and other additives to produce the required strength, weight, chemical resistance, processing temperature and other factors that improve quality and cost-efficiency.
  2. Pre-Processing of Materials
    This includes fiber preparation and resin mixing.
  3. Compounding of Final Composite Material
    This can include creation of either a bulk molding compound or a sheet molding compound.
  4. Quality Control
    The final compounded material goes through rigorous testing to ensure it performs optimally during the injection molding process.
